In Loving Memory ~
Fred was born October 31st, 1928 to February 19th, 2022, when he completed life's final journey and went home to be with Jesus.
Fred was born in Brokenhead, Manitoba to his parents David and Ruth Wuerch, where he spent his childhood growing up in a small farming town in Beausejour, Manitoba.
As a young adult, he moved away to pursue a trade in construction. His greatest joy was when he set eyes on and married Sofia (Glazier). Where they journeyed together and started their family with stops in Winnipeg, Prince George, and finally Parksville.
He leaves behind his wife Sofia, children Brenda (Garry), Rick (predeceased), Garwin (Adena), and Byron (Michele) and his legacy of 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Fred was an absolute outdoor enthusiast who loved to hunt, golf, and especially loved fishing.
But Fred's greatest attribute in his life was his ability to simply LOVE on his family. You knew you were always welcome to sit with him at his kitchen table where he would warm your heart with his smile, share his thoughts with you openly, while always making you feel loved and encouraged.
With all certainty, we know that you are forever celebrating with your family in heaven. There are no more tears for you, only for us. You're never far from our memories, and always in our hearts.
A celebration of life was held at the Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Rd, Parksville, BC. at 1 pm on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022.
