Fred Franson, 93, passed away on July 27rd, 2020 in Calgary Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Franson, his four children, Rick, Chuck, Deborra, and Bonnie, eleven Grandchildren, and eleven Great Grandchildren.
Fred was born in Invermere, B.C. on April 23rd, 1927. He lived in Nicholson with his parents, Eric and Fanny Franson, two sisters and two brothers until marrying Betty and then moved into the town of Golden in 1958.
Fred spent many years driving the Royalite and Gulf fuel delivery truck to residents in the town of Golden and surrounding areas, and to various logging camps and farms throughout the Columbia Valley. Fred served in the Golden Voluntary Fire Department for 12 years. Fred loved fishing and hunting and on many days you could find him on a local lake or back country road fulfilling his love of the outdoors.
Fred will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and Papa.
