A kind generous, friendly guy, Fred was born May 17, 1941 in Prince Albert, Sask. and passed away peacefully in Cowichan Hospital on May 9, 2021.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Shirley, sons Jim (Rae-Anne), Dale (Cyndi) Scott, Cory (Anji) and Ryan, grandchildren Alexandra, Scott (Jessica) and Tanner, and great grandchildren Grayson and Rose.
Fred spent his working life of 43 years at the sawmills Mac + Blo Chemainus and Doman's Duke Pt. In earlier times he enjoyed sports with his sons, family camping around BC, and working on his house and garden.
He will be sadly missed.
