aged 91, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 11, 2019 at Mission Memorial Hospital. He was born June 4, 1927 in Deleau, Manitoba to Jennie and Henry Hewitt. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Jenny Hewitt; his daughter and son, Patti Cucheran (John) and David Hewitt (Dana); his 8 grandchildren, Nancy, Tim, Peter, Elizabeth, James, Julia, Rachel and Mark; and his 17 great grandchildren.
Frank was a veteran of the Army, Navy and Air Force of 35 years and a resident of the Comox Valley for over 40. A man with a quick wit and an amazing sense of humour, he touched many of our lives. His devotion to family, the Comox Valley community, the most beautiful garden on the block, and every wandering canine that crossed his path will never be forgotten.
He is sorely missed.
A celebration of life will be held for Frank at Point Holmes in the spring.
