March 19, 1934 - October 20, 2020
Frank passed away peacefully at The Views at St Joseph's, Comox, BC, after receiving excellent care the past 22 months.
He was born and raised in Upper Chelsea, NS, by his parents Ingram and Etta. Frank cherished his childhood on the family farm with his siblings, Richard, Duncan, Kathryn, Emily, Fred, Ingram and Judy.
Frank moved to Ottawa to make his mark, and he did just that! As a young cartographer he worked for Energy, Mines and Resources.
He met and married Shirley Fisher, and they raised six children, John, Barry, Paul, Katherine, Thomas and Laurie. He spent several decades moving up in the federal government.
He married a second time to Diana Nelson, and they raised another two boys, Aran and Joshua. Frank became a hospital administrator and traveled and lived extensively in Canada's North. While there, he met and married his third wife, Violet Loughery.
They eventually retired in Bedford, NS, but moved to warmer weather on Vancouver Island. While in Comox, Frank's children and all eight of his grandchildren, Matthew, Samuel, Christopher, Lindsay, Evan, Rebecca, Emma and Madison, came to visit him.
Frank will be missed by everyone who met him; he remembered your name, had a twinkle in his eye, and always an amazing story at the ready.
All our love to you Frank on your continued journey.
Arrangements made by the Comox Valley Funeral Home.
