Francis Louis McNeil ... but my friends call me Frank. Born Victoria, BC, Royal Jubilee Hospital.
With much sadness, we announce Frank McNeil passing due to complications from pneumonia. Frank spent his last moments in the loving arms of his wife, Janet, surrounded by his children Jacqueline, Bradley, David and Stephen.
Frank was an honourable and courageous family man eager to help anyone in need. An accomplished and well respected shingle sawyer for decades. He loved fishing and was passionate about woodworking which he generously shared with family and friends. Frank's biggest woodworking accomplishment was building our family home in Marble Bay, Lake Cowichan.
Frank is predeceased by his parents James and Marjorie McNeil and his brother Ken McNeil. Frank is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet McNeil, his daughter Jacqueline (Dan) McQuinn, son Bradley (Nancy) McNeil, son David (Joanne) McNeil, son Stephen (Suzanne) McNeil, nephew (4th son) Daren (Margie) Forster, niece (2nd daughter) Jenna (Tee) Forster and he was a favourite uncle to many. Grandchildren Holly (John), Meghan (Dave), Derek (Stephanie), Katrina (Dallin), Tyler, Abigail, Jonah, Nina, Kendra, Toby and Brayden. Great grandchildren Landon, Bowdie, Arlo and Jaxton.
The McNeil family would like to thank Dr. Young and the nursing staff of CDH for their above and beyond care and compassion for both Frank and his immediate family.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favourite charity in Frank's name. Per Frank's request there will be no service.
We had many memorable adventures with our Dad, often ending with,
"Don't tell your mother"
