On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, Fortunato "Lucky" Rattini, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 88 in Campbell River BC.
Lucky was born on March 12, 1933 in Treviso, Italy. He practiced his carpentry trade their and became an incredibly talented Journeyman carpenter and tradesman. He married the love of his life Maria and together raised two daughters Ida and Lucia and one son Pierre. He spent most of his life in Canada in Nanaimo, BC.
Lucky loved to live life and have fun. He was a gifted and fiery bowler and once bowled a perfect game of 450 during a Masters bowling event. He also loved fishing and taking trips to fly fish in the Nanaimo river. He loved a good joke and could recite them indefinitely himself and loved hearing as many as others would share.
Lucky was preceded in death by his father Gaetano, mother Carmela, sister Antonietta, wife Maria and two sons-in-law Eric and Art. He is survived by his three children, Ida, Lucia, and Pierre & daughter in law Jacqueline his sister Adelina and family his granddaughter Amber, and grandsons Scott and Jason, and great granddaughter Elodie.
There will be no funeral service due to Covid. In lieu of flowers you may donate to the charity of your choice.
