In loving memory ~
Just over two years ago, Diane left this world under a Thanksgiving full moon. A fitting departure for a woman so grateful for the full life she lived.
Diane is survived by all her children and grandchildren. Her daughter Esther Hutton (Courtenay, BC), son and daughter-in-law Craig and Andrea Hutton (Whitby ON) son and daughter-in-law Eric and Caroline Hutton (Washington DC) and daughter Tracy Hutton (Whistler BC). Her grandchildren Sebastian, Nathan, Oden, Cora and Emmett all share her love of reading and will cherish memories of sitting and enjoying stories with her.
She is also survived by her brother and sister-in law John and Mollie Palmason (Trail, BC) all their children and grandchildren, and also by her aunt Carol and many cherished cousins.
Diane was a proud Icelander and a devoted lover of standard poodles (Muffy, Willow and Bling).
Diane had lived in the Comox Valley since 2008 and she will be well remembered by many loving friends and helpful neighbours. A running pioneer, she will be missed by the Comox Valley Road Runners (CVRR) and innumerable athletes from around the world who thrived with her as their dedicated coach and friend.
As a celebration of her life, for those who are near, please join us on November 24, 2024 for the CVRR Memorial Run/Walk followed by a potluck brunch. Details can be found on the Comox Valley Road Runners' website: cvrr.ca.
We will all carry on with our stories, Mom, and we are committed to telling yours.
