October 19, 1937 - March 15, 2021
Evelyn Florence Head was born in Port Arthur, Ont. October 19th, 1937. She spent her early years in Marathon, Ontario and got her schooling there.
She went to Kings Business College in Thunder Bay and became a Stenographer and worked as a Secretary at the American Can Pulp Mill in Marathon.
She met Wally Head there and got married to him in Jasper, Alberta. They started married life in Hinton, Alberta and started their family. They ended up with five boys: Terry (Williams Lake), Barry (Kamloops), Scott (Powell River), Eric (Ft. MacMurray) and Kelly (Edsen).
Those boys got busy and gave them twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Ev was a busy mother and a very good one, those boys kept her busy most days. Ev was not blessed with good health, but she never complained and worked hard.
She lost her five years fight with Alzheimer's on March 15, 2021 and passed away peacefully at Sun Ridge Care Home in Duncan.
There will be a graveside ceremony at her request when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
