Gunther, Evelyn Cora passed away peacefully at Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Hospice Unit, August 24, 2020 with family by her side. After battling with cancer, she succumb to her illness at the age of 86. She was born on March 28,1934 in Ryley, Alberta to Fred and Ester Maynard. Evelyn was predeased by her parents, sister Thelma, brothers Edwin and Wayne, husband Michael and son Mike. Evelyn is survived by son Rodney, wife Jane and sons Marc, Ethan and Daniel; brother Leroy, wife Edith, sons Andrew, Jeff and Blake, their partners and children; daughter in law Debbie; grandson Mychal, partner Emma, daughter Maya; Michelle, husband Denarte, daughter Caitlyn; niece Tracy Anne.
As one of Jehovah's Witness, she enjoyed her ministry with friends and her hope of a resurrection. Evelyn's love of cooking, wine making and card playing was enjoyed by her family and her many friend's over the years.
A special "Thank you" to the doctor's and staff at Shoreline Medical Clinic, Saanich Peninsula home care and exceptional care in the Hospice Unit at Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
