Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Evelyn passed away peacefully in her sleep at the West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni, BC.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) in 1999, whom she loved and missed so very much. Survived by her daughter Ursula (Don) Holmes; sons Ronald (Deb) and Mike (Nicole); grandchildren
Christopher (Candra), Bradley (Sahara), Jason, Darren, Steven (Morgan), Carmen, Derek and Hayden; great-grandchildren Shaylynn, Malcolm and Nico; brother Eric Bowerbank and niece Tricia Bowerbank -
both in Edinburgh.
Evelyn was an avid reader and enjoyed writing her stories and poetry. In her early years Evelyn was a member of the British Women's Royal Naval Service and later, The Queen Alexandra's Royal Nursing
Service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Putz, Abbeyfield Staff, Home and Community Care, and the Nurses and staff at the West Coast General Hospital for all the care and support for both Evelyn and her family.
