It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ervin Russwurm in his 79th year. He passed peacefully with his family at his side.

Ervin is survived by Janet (nee Bell), his wife of 52 years, their children Bryan and Shelly, grandchildren Jaycen and Alanna.

He is also survived by Aunt Hilda Russwurm, sisters Audrey Turner and Elaine Schnurr (Gerald), brothers Laverne (Wilda), Harvey (Yvonne), Robert (Linda), and Harold (Peggy), nieces, nephews and several very special friends.  

Ervin was predeceased by his parents Edgar and Barbara Russwurm, brothers Leonard Russwurm (Amabel), George Russwurm and sister Marlene Weppler (Walter).

Ervin was born in Carrick Township, Ontario. He was a hard worker, who never stopped from the time he left school at 14 until his last few days. A very smart man, he was always thinking, inventing, and fixing. He would go out of his way to help anyone who asked.  

A Celebration of Life Tea will be held on Friday November 24, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Grantham Odd Fellows Hall, 6040 Island Highway North, Courtenay, BC, V9J 1T6 (across from Tsolum School).

Memorial donations in Ervin's name may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society or the BC Lung Association.
