Emmett Otto Hoelscher

November 5, 1940 – October 17, 2017

Emmett was raised on the family farm in Rockyford, Alberta.  He moved to Vancouver Island in 1975.  He owned Frontier Service in Coombs.  He graduated from Malaspina Culinary Arts with honours in 1985. 

Things Emmett loved were babies, dogs, cooking, camping, fishing, Suzi, talk radio, being read to, RVing, laughing, telling stories, making people smile, Suzi, singing.

Emmett is survived by his “great big beautiful doll” Susan, his sister Lucille, brothers Keith (Joyce) and Dale (Pam), children Michael (Tarah), Dawnline and Patrick, grandchildren Guy/Peter, Cody, Jayden, Shaylyn, Kaleb, Nathaniel and Madison.

A service to celebrate Emmett’s life will be held on his 77th birthday, Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 2:30 pm at the Christian Fellowship Centre, 825 Village Way, Qualicum Beach, BC.
