Elsie passed away on September 6, 2020 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 100 years. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 2012, her sister Margrett and her brothers Harold, Bud, Will, Doug, and Warren.
Elsie was born and raised in Victoria, B.C. and after marrying Raymond in 1943 they settled in Nanaimo. Elsie always loved music and singing and conducted the St. Paul's Church Junior Choir for several years and was an active member of St. Paul's Church Alter Guild for over 50 years. Her other interests included travel, gardening, needlework and many other hobbies.
Elsie is survived by her children Gary (Louise) and Lynn (Michael). She also leaves grandchildren Leah (Mike), Cory (Alison) Clinton, Chad (Laura) and 6 great grandchildren.
The family thanks the staff of Dufferin Place Residential Care Facility and NRGH. There will be no service at this time due to Covid. In lieu of flowers, if wished donations may be made to NRGH or St Paul's Church towards their many community projects.
