December 19, 1932 - February 17, 2021
Ella passed away peacefully at NRGH palliative care on February 17th. Ella is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years Erik Larsen, her sister Agnete Wieck, her 4 children Erika (Peter), Dora, Andrew, Peter (Dawn), her grandchildren Anthony, Amanda, Belinda, Curtis, Ted, Kimberly, Christina and 15 great grandchildren.
Ella was predeceased by her first husband Theodor Roost (1990) and her brother Albert Jensen.
Ella had immigrated to Canada in 1956 from Denmark in order to join her husband settling first in Calgary. In Calgary Ted & Ella started studying the bible and she became a Jehovah's Witness in 1966. Then they moved to High River in 1972, where she embraced her husband's love for country living, even though she was a city girl at heart.
While in High River, Ella and Ted finished raising their family and also started a business Roosow Cabinets, where she greatly enjoyed the position of *President*. Something she would often refer to fondly and in jest saying "Remember I was the president you know!"
Upon retiring they moved to Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island in 1984. There Ella resided in the home that Ted had built, with the help of their two sons, until shortly before her passing.
Ella's hospitality and enjoyable get-togethers, with Danish lunches and home-made cakes, were legendary. Ella has left a wonderful example of family get togethers that are to aspire to. Ella was a devoted wife and mother and will be remembered for her great love of family.
She now sleeps in God's memory, awaiting the promise found at Revelation 21: 3&4
