Elizabeth "Liz" Ball

Born in Amersham, England, Elizabeth passed away peacefully at the Hospice at the Views.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur and son Roger and brother Bob. Liz leaves behind her daughter Jane; three grandchildren Sterling, William and Laura-Jane; and Rainne her great-granddaughter. She also leaves her sister Joanna Smith and her two brothers John (Chip) Ross and Jim Davis.
Liz emigrated to Canada with her family in 1946. She worked for the Unemployment Insurance Commission for several years until her marriage to Arthur in 1961. During her 60 years in Comox much of her life centered on sailing, first in small boats that she and Arthur built themselves and later in her sailboat
Aeolus, in which she cruised Desolation Sound and the Gulf each summer.
She enjoyed travelling, making several trips Great Britain and other parts of Canada, but perhaps most of all she enjoyed gardening and boating in the harbor.
Elizabeth's friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at 3 pm on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 at 2475 Stephensen Road, Courtenay. (Grantham)
