It is with great sadness and love in our hearts that we announce the passing of our amazing, vibrant and loving mother, grandmother, sister and sister in law.  Elaine (nee Richardson) was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on July 13, 1940 and left us far too soon on November 24, 2017.  She was a warrior and battled ALS courageously over this past year.  She was surrounded by love, honour and family as she passed away.

Incredible memories, her strength and laughter, always laughter, will live on, be cherished and shared by her sons, Bradford John (Karen) and Ward Malcolm (Connie) and her loving grandchildren, Kendre, Broegan, Michelle and John.

She will lovingly be remembered by her brothers, Dale (Brenda) and Lorne (Linda) and sister in law Barb (Bob).

Elaine was one of that special generation that always volunteered and gave back to her community reflecting her family upbringing and prairie roots.  She was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi and a long time Kelowna Lioness.

She touched the hearts of all of her club members and thousands in our communities in the many events, projects, and outreach programs that she and her sisters were involved in. (Lioness Fall Supper, Camp Winfield, Freedom's Door and fundraisers and causes galore).

Elaine had a 40 year career in banking, the last 30 years in management with the bank of Montreal. She took great pride in her work at these financial institutions.  She loved her staff and always valued and cared for her customers.

Although she is gone, in no pain and at peace now, she will never be forgotten. She will always be remembered by her family and her many, many friends who loved and adored her, and whom she touched with her infectious laugh and enthusiasm.

Elaine was laid to rest alongside her husband, Hugh Malcolm Fraser, in a small family ceremony in Surrey at the Valley View Cemetery on December 2, 2017.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Elaine on Jan 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Everden Rust Funeral Home, 1910 Windsor Rd. Kelowna, B.C. (www.everdenrust.com). A light luncheon reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers please feel free to make donations under her name to the Kelowna Lioness Club and the BC ALS Society - Kelowna.
