In Loving Memory ~
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Edward Malcolm Taylor, born May 14, 1931 in Strathclair, MB. Ed passed away on April 11, 2022, in Nanaimo, at the age of 90. He was surrounded by his family during his short stay in Palliative Care.
Ed leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 68 years, Helen, and daughters Sharon Davison (Kerry), Linda Taylor-Jack (Keith), Barbara Lawrie (Dan) as well as 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Ed (Eddy) had a lifelong passion for hockey, playing junior with the Brandon Wheat Kings and Flin Flon Bombers, and Oldtimers with PGOSA and Nanaimo teams. He played until age 88, when COVID closed the rinks.
Ed was a kind man, outgoing and friendly and enjoyed his coffee group at Tanya's. He was also a skilled curler, twice winning the BC Police/Fire Championship. Ed worked in many capacities as a fireman, policeman and arson investigator.
Many thanks to Dr. Cafferky and the caring nurses in Palliative.
