Edward Lorne 'Ed' Peakman

Edward Lorne Peakman passed away surrounded by his staff family at Cerwydden Care Home in Duncan, BC on January 7, 2021 at the age of 78 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Lillian; daughter, Patty (Gerry) Saleins; grandsons: Scott (Jody) Kayle and Jaiden Peakman; Tim Dafoe; sisters: Yvonne (Ted) Healey, Marie Gell, Ruth Twerdochlib, Rita Wilson, Louise-Babe (Ron) McGonigal, Anna (Mike) Gilbert; brother, Charles Peakman; brother in law Deni La Fleur as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Lea Peakman; son, Jeff Peakman; brother, Jean Peakman; sisters: Lynn Carr and Rosanna La Fleur. Ed was born in Moose Jaw, SK on June 29, 1942; son of Charles and Lea Peakman. He married the girl next door, Lilian Gray in 1963. They moved to Victoria in 1964 with their two children, Patty and Jeff.
For 30 years, Ed worked for the City of Sannich. After his heart attack he owned and operated the Englishman River Motel in Parksville, BC with his family until October of 2012 when he moved to Duncan, BC. His hobbies included: gardening, raising rabbits, and repairing small appliances.
Ed loved to talk and had many stories to tell which he would add his own colour to. At the age of 78 years Ed had a long life of many health problems. Special thanks to Dr. Barr and the Staff at Cerwydden Care Home for their support, kindness and love shown to Ed. As per Ed's wishes, there will be no service.
