Mom passed away peacefully at the Comox Valley Hospital at the age of 89. Predeceased by her loving husband Richard. Survived by two daughters Elspeth and Gillian (Howard), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mom was born in Millet, Alberta, she grew up on a farm and later went on to become an RN graduating top from her class of 1951 with gold metal honours from The Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Mom lived most her adult life in Victoria, BC working as a Diabetic Nurse Educator at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.

Mom was always active in the community, volunteering at her church group and loved her walking group. Mom and dad travelled extensively and enjoyed their social groups for dinners and dancing.

The family thanks Casa Loma Seniors Village for all the loving care while she lived there. Thank you to the staff on 3B and all who cared for mom in the Comox Valley Hospital, you are all incredible, caring professionals.
