It is with deep sorrow that we must announce the sudden passing of our beloved Doug.
Born in Duncan, Doug has resided in the CV for the last 30 years. Being a float plane pilot and an avid outdoorsman, he knew and loved Vancouver Island and the rugged BC coast with a passion. Doug deeply loved his family and friends, as well as the world around him. He created beauty everywhere he went, especially in his relationships and in his garden. There are no words to describe how profoundly he will be missed.
Doug is survived by his wife Cindy, his daughter Sarah (Andreas) his son Eric, his sister Dagmar (Jan), his brother Gord (Yvonne), and his brother Ron. He will also be hugely missed by nephews Bo, Corijn, and Robin, his niece Jennifer, his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Al, and his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Bev, as well as his numerous friends and all those who met him.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
