We are saddened to announce the passing of Doug Malmo due to heart complications. Doug was born and raised in Nanaimo and chose to live his whole adult life here. He worked for Harmac for many years. He was known for his mechanical knowledge and was often involved in repairing and restoring old vehicles. Doug was also a handyman who enjoyed building and fixing things around his property, often coming up with rather unique solutions to problems that might occur. He had his "big boy" toys over the years...some fine Harley and BMW motorbikes were part of the collection.
Doug is survived by his family...his sister Linda Malmo, his nephew Brad Armstrong (Heather), his niece Ashley Klyne (Mat), his two great nephews Ryker and Hudson and his cousin Annette Romuld. He also appreciated the support from his stepson Donovan Stouffer. Doug has had many friends over the years and has enjoyed spending time with them in his very famous garage. He lived "life" his way and will be missed. Cheers Uncle Doug.
