Mary arrived in Canada as a war bride from England. Married to Thomas Colvin, they settled in Richmond, BC raising three daughters there. After retirement they moved to Nanaimo to be with their girls.
Thomas predeceased Mary in 1986 and she lived on her own in Nanaimo with close ties to her family sharing many Sunday dinners with them. Mary was predeceased by her daughter Carol Oakley in 2011.
Survived by her daughters Josie Rinald (D'Arcy), Susan Webber (Alan) and her grandchildren: Jennifer McFarlane (Shaine), Thomas Webber, Don Rinald (Sarah), Katie Rinald (Bruce), and her great grandchildren: Ian, Abigail, Eli, Esme, Hazel, Freya, Charlie and baby Rory. Plus family members in England.
