It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Jean Cross (nee McGillivray) on June 3 at 91 years young. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Cross, and two children, Pamela, and David. She leaves behind 4 children, Barry Cross (Susan), Sherry Turner (Harvey), Lorna-Jean Briggs, and Rick Cross (Cathy), 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Dorothy was born in Bracken, Saskatchewan in March of 1930. She moved to the Alberni Valley at 12 years old and spent rest of her years in the Valley. Dorothy was an elder at Knox Presbyterian Church until its closure. No service will be held at this time. In leu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC or the Canadian Cancer Society.
