In loving memory ~
Olive Doris, a resident of Courtenay, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, aged 97. Predeceased by her husband Ken, Doris is survived and will be lovingly missed by her daughters Cheryl Marx of High Prairie, Chrys Bettany of Calgary, Robyn Widdifield (Russell Wilkinson) of Edmonton, son Kevin (Pat) of Courtenay, grandchildren Nicole (Conrad), Roderick (Danielle), Richard (Jen), and Shara (Paul), her great-grandchildren, and sister Wendy (Keith) Horsfall in Ontario.
Doris was an active member of Comox Community Baptist Church for many years and was a talented musician who played organ, taught piano, and was a past member of the Grande Prairie Regional College Choir.
Following cremation, her urn will be placed with Ken's at Courtenay Civic Cemetery during a private family ceremony at a later date. Should friends wish, donations in Doris's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Comox Valley Transition Society, or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated.
