In loving memory ~
Doreen Grosvenor Green, of Duncan, B.C. died peacefully with loved ones by her side on May 17, 2023. Doreen was born in Vancouver to William and Gladys Munro.
In 1930, the family moved to Premier, B.C. where she formed lifelong friendships with the "Premier Girls". In 1943 the Munros moved to Duncan and Doreen lived her next 80 years in the Cowichan Valley. She married Stanley Green in 1949, marrying into one of the original Pioneer families of the area.
Doreen loved traveling and was able to enjoy many trips throughout the world. She was a talented artist belonging both to local and national art associations. Always social, she maintained old friendships as well as welcoming new ones.
Doreen was predeceased by parents, William and Gladys Munro, husband, Stanley Green, son, James Green, and brother Max Munro. She is survived by daughter, Barbara (Wayne) Sereda; son, Calvin Green (Cheryl); grandchildren, Colin Sereda (Nicole), Marina Gauvreau (Dean), Kate Wilkins (Bill), James Green (Nicole); and 10 great-grandchildren.
