On Sunday, April 28, 2019, Donna Lee Blair passed away peacefully. She was predeceased by her mother and father. She is survived by her sister Sherry, and her nephew Chris. Donna will be greatly missed by her husband Mike; they were together for 35 years.

Donna was born on December 23, 1961. Her father was in the Canadian Air Force and was posted in various bases around Canada. They finally ended up in Comox, where she graduated from high school.

Our girl loved life so very much. She had an easy, amazing smile and laugh that could light up a room. Those who knew her best appreciated her comfortable nature and compassionate heart. She was a shoulder to lean on, a kind word when you needed it, and a strong hand to hold. She loved the outdoors. She was passionate about spending time in her vegetable and flower gardens. Pets were an important part of her life too. As a young woman, she had a little dog. Numerous cats found their way into her heart, when she brought them home from the SPCA.

Mike and Donna met in 1984 and were married in 1992. They lived in the North Island town of Port Alice, where they both worked in the local pulp mill. She had a competitive spirit and enjoyed interacting with friends while trout fishing, golfing, slow pitch, women's hockey, and bowling. One of her greatest past times during that time was exploring the logging roads while collecting firewood with her husband. She loved the simple pleasures. They retired in 2014 and moved to Campbell River.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society, the SPCA or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the devoted and compassionate nurses and doctors at the Campbell River Hospital, for their gentle care in Donna's time of need.
