In loving memory of our father, Donald Richard Roberts, born in Elnora, Alberta, on September 4th, 1922 and died on November 30th 2020 at VGH in Victoria, British Columbia.
He was surrounded by love. His daughters Ardis (Larry), Lynn, and Paula (Jon) were by his side, with Shari (George) whispering their love and support from Alberta.
Don was an accomplished machinist and boat builder, carpenter, knife blade creator, square dancer, traveler and 70 year Mason! He lived simply, and believed in hard work, accountability, paying it forward and acceptance of differences. He knew how to have fun with friends and family and so enjoyed a good joke! He appreciated every kindness and care that was done for him and never failed to say thank you!
Don is survived by his four daughters and an extensive family (including great-great-grandchildren!). He was a role model of a 'good man' and leaves a rich legacy of his solid values, skills and stories.
We know Mom (Marion), Dad's wife of 72 years, is waiting for him. Anyone who knew our Mom knows not to keep her waiting. His girls believe his goal was to reach 100. At 98 he came close. One more time from all your daughters and family: "We love you Dad(Bub)!". Give Mom our love.
