Born in Vancouver, Donald moved to the Comox Valley in 1970. He worked as a janitor and until his retirement, as the 'Recycle Man' at North Island College. Friendly and outgoing, Don enjoyed meeting people and 'passing the time of day.'
He had the remarkable ability to remember the birthday of almost everyone he met. He was a member of the Cumberland Community Church and made many friends within that congregation.
We knew him as 'the man with the 1000-watt smile'. Don will be missed by many, many friends, carers and supporters.
A Celebration of the Life of Donald Pearson will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018, 1:00 pm at the Beaufort Association, 960 Cumberland Road, Courtenay.
