After a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, Don passed away March 13, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Don was passionate about planes, trains and his quilting. And of course, his wee doggie, Sykes who visited him in hospital in his final days. Don leaves behind his loving wife Valerie; sons Steve (Donna) and Brent (Amanda) and daughter Melanie; grandchildren Brandyn and Kryssy (Steve), Chase and Hadley (Brent) and Tia (Melanie). The family would like to thank the staff at Comox Valley Hospital for their excellent care and also very dear friends Frank and Sheila for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA.
