It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to our loving husband, father and grandfather as he passed away with his wife and son Tim at his side.
Don is survived by his wife, Katrina, his two sons Tim (Jackie) and Gerry, his grandchildren, Lucas and Alexa, as well as his sister, Lizzie and brother John (Helena).
Katrina and Don moved to Vancouver Island from Richmond, BC 13 years ago. They enjoyed building their dream home in the community of Eaglecrest and shared a love of the Island. They also shared a very special love for gardening. Don's passion was for his vegetables and fruit trees and especially his tomatoes (his girls) and garlic!
Don volunteered for several years in Fire and Ice, as well as other community events. The gym was a vital part of his daily life, both for exercising his body and his jaw! The kitchen was also a passion and look out, if you crossed that invisible line into his domain.
