In loving memory ~
It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Dianne Blakeman who passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family.
Mom grew up in Vancouver where she met Bruce, the man of her dreams and they were married in 1962. Mom had a varied career; modelling, retail & finance before moving to Campbell River in 1981. From City life to a 5 acre hobby farm on York Rd. where they built their dream home.
After settling in, and a few years working at BMO, she started the best job she ever had, as an Educational Assistant, first at Phoenix, and then at Timberline where she was affectionately known as "Mrs. B."
Together Mom & Dad enjoyed camping, boating, travelling and they always loved to dance! Mom also adored her 4 grandkids.
"I've lived a great life married to a wonderful man that loved to travel & dance. I have amazing kids and grandkids that have brought me so much joy & made me so proud. Lots of laughs with loving friends & extended family."
Predeceased by her soul mate and our Dad Bruce, infant son Dean & her sister Arlene.
She leaves to mourn daughter Deanna (Sean) Arbour, son Kim, brother Gord (Chris) Schofield, grandkids Hayden, Taylor, Kelsea, and Corson as well as extended family & friends.
No service by request. In lieu of flowers, it was Mom's wishes to have donations made to The Children's Hospital and the Campbell River Hospital.
