Denise, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on December 5, 2017 at the age of 63.

Denise was the youngest child born to parents Lillian (nee Pinson) and Harold McIntosh, in Chemainus, BC. Prior to her high school graduation in 1972, she met the love of her life, Tom Jameson, to whom she married in 1972. Together, they raised their three daughters and shared many wonderful memories and experiences on their acreage hobby farm in Chemainus.

Denise was an amazing woman; charismatic, loving, kind, hard-working, strong-willed when she needed to be, grateful, and caring. She was very devoted to her family, and fought hard for the life she believed in. She wasn't afraid to say I love you, and share her feelings, often the one to initiate speeches of gratitude at family gatherings. When there was something she wanted to do, she gave her full self to accomplishing it. After one season of riding on the back of her husband's motorcycle, she decided she wanted to be the one in control, and got her own motorcycle license and bike. She and Tom enjoyed many bike rides and adventures together, making the perfect riding partners.

Denise will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 45 years, Tom, children Nicole (Tyson), Angela (Todd), Shanna (Dustin) and 5 grandchildren.

She will also be forever remembered by her sister Karen (Don), brother Doug (Connie), several nieces and nephews, as well as by her numerous dear friends, some of whom were considered family.

Denise was predeceased by her parents Harold in 1999 and Lillian in 2000, and her son Clint in 1974.

In her remaining days, when asked how she would like to be remembered, she responded, "That I never wanted to hurt anyone". Denise was a beautiful person that touched many lives with her kindness, her smile, and her heart.

A Celebration of Life in honour of Denise will be held at 1:30 February 10th, 2018, at the Chemainus Royal Canadian Legion, 9755 Chemainus Rd.

Family and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating the life of this amazing woman.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Susan Barr, Dr. Valorie Masuda, and Dr. Andrea Wilhelm for their compassion, care, and support.
