Delia Mary Jones

Delia passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years, after a brief stay in Cowichan District Hospital.
Predeceased by her husband Ian (2014), daughter Sonia (2007) and brother Ben (2020).
Ian and Delia were both raised near London, England. They were married in 1952, and in 1958 they emigrated to Canada with three small children. After about a year in Vancouver, they relocated to Duncan, where they established Ian Jones Shoes on Station Street. They enjoyed serving customers for over 36 years.
The family grew, with another three children born in Duncan.
After retirement, they built a new home in Crofton. Mum remained in her Crofton home until her few last days. She loved her large family, and we will miss her dearly. Her steadfast faith in God gave her hope and strength. Psalm 73:26
Lovingly remembered by son Oliver (Janet), son Rod, daughter Alison (Walt), son Cam (Ruth), son Bruce (Mindy), 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister Rona (Philip) and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 2:00 pm at New Life Community Baptist Church, 1939 Tzouhalem Rd., Duncan, BC (refreshments following the service)
