David was born in Brandon, Manitoba on May 11, 1945. A Mother's Day gift to his parents, David and Sarah. They lived on a farm in the Kain area.
David moved to Winnipeg, first to teacher's college then to work as a milkman, later as a parts man with Ford Ignition. In 1974 David with his young family moved to Campbell River where he worked at CRES until his early retirement in 2007.
David enjoyed visiting with family and friends, fishing, travelling, baseball and the outdoors.
David will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Patricia; his daughter, Sherry Reed (Tim); his son, Michael (Melanie); step daughters, Kim James, and Pam Ring (Stephen); brother, Ronald (Elaine); sisters, Francis Stenhouse and Colleen Dagen (Herb) and families.
David was a loving grandfather to Jordan, Braeden, Emerson, Sophie, Charlie Jane, and Dayton.
David was an active member of the Baptist Church and greeter for the Gospel Sing nights at the Discovery Church.
Our families would like to thank everyone for all your love, support, prayers and comfort during this difficult time.
A celebration of life and reception will be held on Thursday, September 19 at 11:00 am at the CR Baptist Church. Internment in the Elk Falls Cemetery to follow.
