Another branch has fallen from our family tree,

He lived his life to provide and serve,
His faith was strong,
His love and memories are for us to preserve.

Our Dear Father
It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our father, David Friesen
Born May, 10 1925 in a small town in Saskatchewan. Passed away peacefully in Comox Valley General Hospital on April 22, 2020.
David married Elsie Friesen in 1953, they were married for 64 years when Elsie passed away in 2016. He was in the Air Force for almost 20 years, taking a final posting here to retire. He then started a Stucco company with his two sons Wayne and Brian. David was a key figure in the AA community, speaking and attending many rallies around the island, he had 58 years of sobriety upon his death. David also operated as a fishing guide and was involved in the Comox Valley RV club.
A consummate family man he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
David is preceded in death by his wife Elsie, and his two daughters Lori and Val.
He is survived by his children Wayne, Brian and Sandra as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
