It is with great sadness we announce the sudden and tragic passing of David Francis Cronk on January 1, 2019, at the age of 78.

David was born in Central Butte, SK on May 26, 1940. He spent most of his life in Kamloops, B.C. having worked at Tolko Industries for 30 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Leigh Edwin and Thelma Annie Marie (nee Edgar) Cronk; his brother Leonard Cronk; his sisters, Ruby Bridges and Ella Usher. He is survived by his three sons, Geoff Cronk (Tanya Garreck) of Parksville, Gary Cronk (Leah Humphrey) of Kamloops, Jordan Cronk of Kamloops; his sisters, Vera Porter of London, ON and Maryenn Olson of Kamloops. David will also be dearly missed by the many other family members he had come to acquire and the many friends he made along the way.

Dave was a man of loyalty and love, a kind gentle man who will remain in the hearts and memories of all the people he's left behind. He was a single father and loved being any place with his boys. He was always humble and loved one on one time with anyone who would hear his stories and jokes. In his younger years Dave was a very hard working man but always made time for the good things in life. He stood his ground on his views of the world, loved skydiving and hunting as well as camping, fishing and outdoor adventures.

In the last 10 years, Dave enjoyed the simple things in life, a walk to the Parksville Beach to feed the birds, a fresh brewed cup of coffee from the Co-Op service station where he stopped every day to chat with the wonderful staff. Staff that then became wonderful friends to him over the years. He loved good home cooking and spending time with family, relaxing while he did a word search and watched the same old repeats on TV. Home will not be the same without him. We will miss you Dave. Salute

"Heaven must be beautiful... everyone is dying to get there and no-one is coming back."
