David Charles Whitlam passed away at the age of 62 on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops. David will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Alan of Lansdowne, ON, Eric (Teresa) of Miller Lake, ON, Neil (Heather) of Salmon Arm, Brian (Susan) of Sicamous; sister in law, Shirley of Cambridge, ON; Step-sisters, Betty Whitlam and Cherie Huard of Dundas, ON., as well as many nieces and nephews.
David was born on June 12, 1958 in Guelph Ontario. He moved to Golden, BC in 1976 where he started his career as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Logging and Construction. David worked up North in various mining camps and spent a great part of his life as a logging mechanic with various contractors around Campbell River for the past 30 years. He grew up riding motorcycles his whole life.
Contributions in memory of David may be made to the Salvation Army or the B.C. Children's Hospital foundation.
