David Barry Holmes passed away peacefully with family at his side at Victoria General Hospital on January 10th, 2022, at the age of 78.
David was born on June 9th, 1943, in England to his parents John and Irene Holmes.
David had a huge heart and a smile that could light up a room. A man who stayed positive no matter what life challenged him with. He always looked for the positives in every situation. And always made people laugh
David is survived by his daughter Tracy (Rolf) and son Darren (Rose). His wife Joyce Holmes, and stepchildren, Carolyn, Angela, and Rich. Brothers, Geoff, Richard, and Ray. Sisters Lorraine, Joanne, Christine, and Val, and his former wife, Jean Holmes. Grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Tyler, Evan, Kayla, and his great-grandchildren Athena and Jamison and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene, and his siblings. Julie, Maureen, Roselyn, John, and Les.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
