We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Daniel Raymond Kulai on August 2, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Gail; daughter Darlene; sons Grant (Glenda) and Jason; granddaughters Haley, Nichole, and grandson Blake; stepson Alan Thomson (Liz); stepdaughter Teresa Engel (Kevin) and granddaughter Katelynn.
Daniel dedicated 52 years with the Nanaimo School District, serving as a heavy-duty mechanic, bus driver and courier, and was a devoted volunteer with the Nanaimo Fire Department for 35 years. Known for his generosity and readiness to help, he will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society are appreciated. A celebration of life will be held on August 23, 2024, at 11:00am at Sands Funeral Chapel. 1 Newcastle Ave. Nanaimo BC.
