In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Paul Peterson on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the young age of 61. After a courageous battle with cancer, Dan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and kids.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Karen, daughter Courtney (Jesse), sons Cole (Sydney), Kyle and Corey, grandsons Kayson and Kru and a new grand baby on the way. He will also be remembered by his father Walter, mother Arlene, sisters Diane (Greg), Linda, Cindy (Mark) and brother Scott (Suzanne), mother-in-law Sylvia, brother-in-law Brian (Sherry) and sister-in-law Sherry (Dan) and many wonderful family and friends.
Dan was born in VIctoria, BC and was an avid athlete at a young age enjoying many sports including soccer and was a very talented baseball player, where his Tri-K Drilling team won many provincial and national tournaments. He also enjoyed hiking and fishing but his greatest passion was hunting where he enjoyed many trips and stories with family and friends and his yearly trip up north with his sons being his most memorable highlight.
Dan and Karen met in Victoria and spent the next 33 years raising four wonderful kids making many long lasting memories camping, trips to Hawaii and Mexico, and watching the kids playing sports up and down the island and beyond. His greatest love and joy was spending time with his kids and grandkids, helping out wherever he could, always putting family first.
Dan was an extremely hard worker and a customer pleaser. After many years in the Sales industry, Dan started his own successful garage door business that he enjoyed for the last 16 years. Dan was very loyal and caring with a sarcastic sense of humour and wit. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. We will miss him more than words can describe.
We would like to thank everyone for their kind words and gestures of sympathy and support. A celebration for Dan will be held when we can all safely be together again.
Your memory and love lives on in our families,
we'll miss you Dan, Dad xoxo
