Our dearest Cynthia Rose Easthom-Smith, age 61, went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, April 6, 2019.

Cynthia was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on March 30, 1958, and has lived in Akron, Ohio since 2015. She was employed by Ernest Angley Ministries, and she was a devoted member of Ernest Angley's Grace Cathedral in Akron, Ohio.

Cynthia was a beautiful pianist, and her music touched the hearts of all who heard her. She also loved Bible study, music composition, writing and walking. But Cynthia's passion was serving her Lord and Savior. She loved Him with all of her heart, and she wanted to share that love with others. Everything she did was for the glory of God, and she lived her life to please Him. She loved deeply and gave selflessly. Cynthia was beautiful inside and out, and she was a shining light to many in this dark world.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Morlang; and her twin sister, Debra Bahsler. She is survived by her husband of four and a half years, Scott C. Smith; daughter, Jackie Easthom; father, Wreginald Morlang (Clara); and brother, Wesley Morlang.

Funeral to be held Thursday, April 18 at Duncan Pentecostal Church, 931 Trunk Rd, Duncan. Viewing hours available between 10:30 and 11:00; service to be held at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Cancer Society.
