It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Corry Vanderest announce her peaceful passing at home on September 10, 2022.
Corry was born in Rotterdam July 31, 1931 to Nicholaas and Maria Boonstra. Shortly after her marriage to Cornelius (Kees) Vanderest in 1952, they immigrated to Canada where they started their new life together and raised their three daughters.
Over the years, Corry volunteered at many Care Homes and West Coast General Hospital as an Auxiliiary member. Anyone that knew her will remember her bright smile and great sense of humour.
Corry is survived by her daughters, Marion, Lilian and Joanne (Hank), grandchildren Nick, Chad, Mariah, Kays (Lauren) and Logan, great-grandsons Connor and Earl and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Kees and her son-in-law Earl (Bubba)
As per her wishes, no service will be held. The family will be having a private gathering.
The family would like to thank Dr. W. Johnsen, Dr. White, the Palliative Nurses, and the home support workers who helped the family to keep Mom at home.
