In Loving Memory ~
Connie was born to J. Ross and Isobel MacLean in St. Boniface Manitoba where her father was completing his medical training. The family soon moved to Vancouver where Connie grew up.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Crawford, her sons Dr. Gordon Case (Justine) and Colin Case (Sarah), her sister Lynda MacLean, half sister Sherie MacLean, half brother Julian MacLean, grandchildren Rowan, Sarah, Michael and River.
She was predeceased by her brothers Stuart and Ross MacLean, her parents Dr. J. Ross & Isobel MacLean and her daughter Melanie Eden.
Connie had a keen interest in history, serving as President of both the Cowichan Historical Society and Cowichan Heritage Society and was the instigator of the well received Mother's Day Cowichan Heritage House Tours which ran for 12 years.
Soon after arriving in the Cowichan Valley in 1990 Connie and Brian joined the well known central Vancouver Island Collector's Club, the 'Diggers' and for many years she created the monthly newsletter and was chair of the annual Antique and Collectable Show and Sale.
Many will have fond memories of Connie and Brian's hospitality especially the Chinese New Years Eve gatherings. Connie was also actively involved in the Parish of St. Peter Quamichan.
Sadly, Connie's last years were difficult as she faced so many health challenges.
Connie will be laid to rest in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery next to her beloved daughter, Melanie.
