June 10, 1941 - August 11, 2021
Born June 10, 1941 in Coronach, Saskatchewan
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford William Cronan.
Clifford passed away peacefully on August 11, 2021 at the age of 80. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn of 60 years, his two sons Warren (Megan) and Lanny (Debbie); grandchildren Joshua (Caitlyn) Cronan and Darby (Aaron) Halsall; great-grandchildren Mason and Beckett Cronan and five siblings Delores (Edgar) Ellis, Darlene Arion, Larry (Lois) Cronan, Kathy (Larry) Coroluick and Jack (friend Jane) Cronan.
Clifford worked as a Crane Operator for Harmac Pulp and Paper for 30 years. Clifford and Kathryn enjoyed travelling together to many places around the world, sightseeing and cruising.
Clifford's family was his pride and joy, first with his two sons supporting all of their sports and later dedicating his retirement to cheering on his two grandchildren with their hockey, soccer, lacrosse, school events and performances.
A service will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 am. Please join the family at 228 Tahoe Avenue to celebrate Clifford's life, following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Clifford's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Parkinson's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to family and friends for all of their love and support and to the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Doctors and Nursing staff, especially the Rehabilitation Team.
