May 4, 1950 - April 9, 2021
Clifford Kenneth Morton passed away peacefully on April 9, 2021 at Trillium Hospice at the age of 70 after a long illness. Cliff was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Vera and younger brother Robin.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife Donna of forty years, his twin brother Calvin, sisters Phyllis (Fred Nelson) and Sharon (Don Milburn), nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as many long time friends.
Cliff was born May 4, 1950 in Nelson, BC. Cliff graduated from UBC in 1975 and worked in various capacities in the Forest Industry on Vancouver Island, up and down the BC Coast, and on Haida Gwaii.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger years. In retirement, Cliff enjoyed his workshop and created many beautiful wooden objects which he freely shared with many family and friends and even casual acquaintances that had impressed him in some way.
Many thanks to Dr. Colin Duncan, Dr. Susan Hunter and the Palliative Care Team, the Qualicum Beach Ambulance Service, Oceanside Hospice Society, the nurses at Trillium Hospice and the nurses and doctors of Nanaimo Regional Hospital for all their help and support during Cliff's long illness.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Cliff's memory may do so by making a donation in his name to your favourite charity.
There will be an informal gathering when it is safe, so family and friends can have a chance to gather, raise a glass and share stories and memories.
