Born in Debden, Saskatchewan, Claire passed away peacefully at the age of 95, with her family by her side.
Claire moved to Trail B.C. in 1946 with her husband Urbain. A few years later, they moved to Duncan where they started their family. Claire and Urbain were married for 62 years, raising 9 children together on Vancouver Island. They had an incredible love for each other, and their family was the most important thing in the world to them.
Claire is predeceased by her parents, Sam and Loretta Bujold, her husband Urbain, her eldest son Jerry, her grandson Garrett and son-in-law Fred Smith.
Left to mourn their mother are her children, Noella (Paul), Norman, Suzanne, Roger (Donna), Clem (Meiry), Ivan (Debbie) Irene and Rita. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held in Nanaimo.
