Clarie passed away in West Haven on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by husband Tony; daughters Joanne, Sharon, grandsons Corey and Brent. Claire is survived by grandchildren Robert (Valrie), Leanne (Kyle); great-great grandson Taylor, grandchildren Hazen, Robina and; great-great grandson Ryden; son in law Bob Jackson, step daughters Arlene, Linda and Lorna their children; sisters Elizabeth and Elsie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in the prairies, Claire moved to Port Alberni in the early 50's where she met her husband Tony. She worked in the Beaufort Hotel as well as had her own catering business in the 80's with her friend Pat. She was active in Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church and with the Catholic Women's League for many years.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 14, 2018 from Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road, Port Alberni, BC with Father Harrison Ayre officiating.
