Christopher Wolowicz age 52 of Nanaimo, B.C. passed away May 4th, 2022. Chris was born July 31st, 1969 in Nanaimo to Jerry Wolowicz and Marjorie (Wolowicz) Sabourin.
Chris lived most of his life in Nanaimo, growing up in Cedar by the Sea. Chris had a passion for fishing and outdoor recreation.
He spent several years working in Vancouver pursuing a career as a machinist before returning to the Island where he felt most at home.
Those who knew Chris, will feel his loss greatly, he was a down to earth guy, who had a gift of caring for others more than himself. He was the one to call if there was a problem or you just wanted to talk.
Chris is survived by his father Jerry, stepmother Dale, stepfather Ray Sabourin, brother, Mike, half-sister and brothers, Tammy and David Wolowicz and sibling Leanne Silhacek.
Chris was predeceased by his mother Marjorie Sabourin.
Chris kept in touch with his large extended family that included aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends, whom he deeply loved.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Those wishing to reflect and celebrate Chris's life are invited to do so at Bowen Park in Nanaimo at any time.
