With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Chrissie Lyons in her 91st year.

Chrissie was born in Gravelbourg Saskatchewan and was raised in Whalley B.C. Chrissie trained to be a nurse at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver where she met Gerry Lyons. In 1951, they married and moved to Port Hardy, where they started a family. They raised their 6 children in the communities of Port Hardy, Port Alberni and Sayward. They retired on Quadra Island and eventually settled in Campbell River.

Chrissie enjoyed many hobbies. A quilter extraordinaire, she hand- crafted cherished quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. She was an avid florist, painter, cardplayer and especially enjoyed boating and fishing in the Summer. She was very active in her communities as a nurse, organizer and volunteer.

Known as the "Pink Scooter Lady", Chrissie always had a story to tell. As a wife; mother of six; grandmother of 12; great-grandmother of nine and a good friend to many; Chrissie will be missed forever.

Please join us Saturday April 13th at 11:00 for a Catholic mass with a reception to follow. St. Patrick's Parish 34 South Alder Street, Campbell River.
